Editorial Policy

How Tim's Printables math worksheet generators are built, checked, and kept accurate for classroom and home use.

How problems are generated

Each worksheet uses deterministic math rules written directly for the topic. Number ranges, problem counts, and layout options are set by the user, and the generator produces the problem set from those parameters. The same logic also creates the answer key, so the key and the worksheet always match.

Grade-level alignment

Problem defaults are chosen to match common K–8 scope and sequences. For example, addition-to-10 generators stay within 0–10, multi-digit generators respect place-value columns, and fraction generators keep denominators appropriate for the target grade. Users can override the defaults with their own ranges.

Print accuracy

Worksheets are laid out to fit within a 7.5×10 inch content area (0.5 inch margins on all sides) for US Letter, and a corresponding A4 content area for metric paper. The print stylesheet hides the site header, navigation, ads, and controls so only the worksheet and answer key are printed.

Corrections

If a problem or answer key is found to be wrong, the generator is corrected at the source and the fix applies to every new worksheet created after that point. No historical worksheets are stored, so users always get the latest version.

User-generated content

This subdomain does not host user accounts, uploaded worksheets, or community submissions. All generated content comes from the built-in generators and is not moderated because it is not user-generated.
